CT & DE Child CareRecords

How we verify

CT & DE Child Care Records is compiled from public records, not from who paid to be listed.

Sources

From Connecticut's license file we keep programs with status ACTIVE and type Child Care Center, Group Child Care Home or Family Child Care Home. From Delaware's facility file we keep licensed centers, family child care and large family child care. License-exempt programs, youth camps and inactive licenses are not included. For home-based programs we omit the street address and phone number.

For Connecticut we count each program's visits in the last three years from the inspection file and attach the regulations cited at each visit from the violations file; rows the state marks “No Violations” are not counted as citations. Delaware's file lists only compliance reviews with findings, so for Delaware we show cited regulations and their correction status, and cannot show visits with no findings.

Dates and wording are the state's. A cited regulation records that the state cited something on a date; it is not a finding about the program overall. We do not score or rank programs, and we do not say any program is safe or unsafe.

What a badge means

Active state license: the program is listed with an active license (Connecticut: status ACTIVE; Delaware: present in the facility file) as a child care center, group home or family child care home in the state's open data on the day we checked. We only publish positive matches. A listing without a badge is not an accusation — most gaps are name variations between registries.

Freshness

Data was last refreshed on 2026-10-02. Both states update their open data regularly; we re-pull weekly.
